Well it's been a while since I've made a post, though I've been work work working away. I'm going to break this post up into a few so as not to weigh down your browsers. Some exciting new work though, if I do say so myself...

So I am working on what may become an alphabet book made up of machine animals. Above is the sketch for the letter H.

Southern Highlands Craft Guild

      So on Thursday I will submit an application for the southern highlands craft guild. From the works below I will need to select five birdhouses for my entry. Please feel free to let me know which ones you like.

Muertos

Here is the rest of the process for the dia de los muertos piece:

Once I finished the machinework I needed to so something to the background to bring forward the skull.

Black brought it further forward and I started to go in and outline the machinework.

Add some black to sink the eyes a bit more and finish outlining all of the mechanations and I decided to call it done. I should get it back from the printshop today. I'll have 5" x 7"for $12, 8" x 10" for $20 and the original size 11" x 14" for $30. Let me know if you're interested and I'll make it happen.

Dia de Los...

Today was a great day. I am working on a Dia de Los Muertos machine for the upcoming holiday and below you will find some process photos. I'm off to Raleigh tomorrow, so I hope to finish it on Friday.

Beginnings

Today will mark the first day that I work in my new studio space at painting. It is not entirely finished, but it is perfect for my needs.

New Birdhouses

Here are some birdhouses that are nearing completion...in the new shop, which is almost finished. I'll post some photos of the shop too, soon.
